Ebix Online Payment Gateway New Features

OPG CC surcharge update

Ebix Online Payment Gateway (OPG) continues to revolutionise online payments for the insurance broking industry by delivering an easy to implement, flexible system; standard websites are turned into e-commerce websites instantly.

We're pleased to announce we have added two new features to the Ebix OPG. We have added PayPal as a payment option, as well as client access to Premium Funding via the OPG (with the broker's participating funder).

Not only does the Ebix OPG offer your clients an easy and convenient payment option, it delivers a wide range of benefits to your business as well. Do away with the eftpos machine and reduce administration processing, increase cash flow and payment accuracy, drive more traffic to your website and take advantage of more marketing opportunities, all thanks to the industry-leading Ebix Online Payment Gateway.

We are always adding new features and making updates to the Ebix Online Payment Gateway, continuing to deliver an even better product to our clients. But what makes Ebix OPG the better online payment system choice is the ease of implementation and management:

Why Ebix OPG?
- Ebix takes care of all implementation aspects
- Incorporated into your existing website and hosted by Ebix
- Integrates with your Ebix broking system
- Industry level security
- All individual surcharges are catered for, whether debit or credit card, making Ebix OPG compliant with the Competition and Consumer Amendment Act 2016

The Ebix OPG can be used both within a standard website and a transactional website. Learn more about the Ebix OPG here.

New CBS DocGen Facility - The New Coverage Summary

Ebix is pleased to announce the integration of a new DocGen service for document generation in CBS Web Access. DocGen will generate Rich Text Format or RTF, a file format standardised by Microsoft enabling the use of data merged into the RTF documentation, which can then be manipulated via templates to include varied text style, size, colour, and logos where required. It produces MS Word like documents.

The sample below is a new DocGen RTF version of the Client Coverage Summary form. The RTF takes away the need for proportional fonts such as Courier New and can be designed in any font or layout suited to your business requirements.

The new DocGen facility is the result of extensive Ebix R&D to provide a documentation alternative for the Coverage Summary. It can easily be added to your CBS environment without impacting normal system operation and enabled at an individual Risk Code level.
Client documentation can now look more professional with the addition of colours, different fonts, tables, and graphics.
Ebix will be running a Webinar to demonstrate this new and exciting development with full details to follow.

New WinBEAT4.2 Release

new release winbeat

The next minor release of WinBEAT is due out around the end of October 2018.
This release contains a number of enhancements requested by our brokers as well as implementing changes to the database to allow for enhanced reporting moving forward.

The key enhancements consist of changes to reports to include additional fields with a particular focus on Secondary and Sub Associate reporting. Current Sales and Income as well as Custom Reports will display Secondary associate details.

Additional reports enhancements include a Last actioned date for all Unallocated Cash reports, the user has been added to the Cancellation report and the Underwriter terms have been optionally included on the Detailed Debtors report.

We have also made some changes to the WinBEAT Invoice, Statement, and Final Notice remittance to allow for extended BPay wording. Additionally the OPG URL is a clickable link when a Form is sent as a PDF. This means that when paying an Invoice, Statement or Final Notice, your client can simply click the OPG link on the PDF and the OPG will open automatically and pre fill the client and invoice reference for your client’s convenience.
In addition, you can now have a PayPal option on your Online Payment Gateway and consequently WinBEAT can now accept a PayPal pay file as a bank file import.

The release notes for this new version will be available via WinBEAT HELP around mid-October and we will advise WinBEAT System Administrators via email when the new version is available for download.

Ebix Roadshow a Success

2018 roadshow logo

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ebix Roadshow over July and August. We have received significant positive feedback from attendees, which tells us that the Ebix Roadshow was an overall success. We put this event together for all our clients and we're pleased to know that it was well received.

A few months ago, Ebix hosted a Roadshow across the nation. We visited hundreds of clients in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The event, titled 'Insurance, Technology and You', covered topics such as the future of Ebix broking systems, including Ebix Evolution and WinBEAT NEXT; as well as Ebix hosting; value-added Ebix modules such as OPG, Next Gen Custom Web Apps and Premium Funding, SmartOffice Pro, and much more.
It was a pleasure to catch up with everyone, answer your questions, and talk about the future of insurance and technology. We hope to see you all again at the next one.
