WinBEAT Version 3.2 has been tested for compatibility with both Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 and 3.2 can be installed on a Windows Vista PC.

How do Upgrades & Updates Work?

As most WinBEAT users are already aware we have a number of new releases throughout the year.

Our current major release version is 3.2 with a minor release version 3.2.28 (June 2008).

We do one major release each year and this is generally sent out towards the end of the year. This major release is supplied on a CD which is posted to all our customers. The major release is the only one that is sent out on CD.

After a major release there are generally a number of minor releases that go out about every 2 months. These releases may include:

  • fixes for any problems that have been reported
  • new and amended reports
  • New features and enhancements to existing modules
  • enhancements to our WinBEAT Forms Module

These minor releases are advised to the system administrator by email. WinBEAT will automatically check the WinBEAT Downloads directory on our web site to see if a new version is available - the WinBEAT System Administrator will then be advised of the new version next time they log into WinBEAT.

Once the update file has been downloaded and the System Administrator has run the update on their own system, all other users who log into WinBEAT will be asked if they wish to do the update. Users should always respond with a "Yes" at this prompt.

It is quite important that you let us know if there any changes to your email address as we use email extensively to advise updates and for registration purposes.
