WinBEAT Technical Specification


WinBEAT is a scalable windows-based software program designed specifically for General Insurance Intermediaries.

The product has been designed from the ground up by Australians for the Australian marketplace. It incorporates full Trust Account reporting, is fully GST compliant and has many features to assist with FSA compliance requirements.

WinBEAT has been developed to run in a standard 32 bit Windows environment.

WinBEAT has been tested with the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000 & 2003
  • Microsoft SBS
  • Microsoft Terminal Services
  • Microsoft Vista Business Editions (WinBEAT Version 3.2 or above)

WinBEAT is not supported for:

  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Editions
  • Microsoft Windows 98 (SE)
  • Microsoft Windows ME
  • Microsoft XP Home Edition

This document outlines the basic specifications for the computer hardware and software required to run WinBEAT Version 3.2.xx.
In most cases, you will find that if your hardware is less than 3 years old, little or no upgrading of hardware will be required.

Prior to the installation of WinBEAT at your site we will run a hardware audit on all computers that will be running WinBEAT, to ensure your equipment meets our minimum specifications.

The current minor release of WinBEAT is 3.2.28 (Release date  June 2008). You should ensure you are running the current version as support is no longer available for earlier releases including 3.0.x and 2.9.xx.
