There are no additional transactions fees or charges incurred by insurers for this comparative quoting component. Optional business intelligence reports are available for purchase to analyse of well or under-performing areas, for example, win or loss patterns.
Online Quoting is fully integrated with the Ebix Australia Sunrise™ Exchange platform. Intermediaries purchase a license to use the Online Quoting facility and need a compliant broking system to convert the selected quote to new business. Standalone access is also available to intermediaries who want to benefit from Online Quoting, who don’t have a compliant broking system.
Qualitative: The primary focus of Online Quoting is to equip intermediaries with comprehensive information on the features and benefits of the policy. This drives a value-based sale to ensure the policy is fit for client purpose, instead of being sold purely on a price-driven basis. Summaries of the quote’s features can be displayed side-by-side in tabular format for easy comparison.
Efficient: Online Quoting provides insurers and intermediaries increased efficiency by using the same insurer rating engine as Sunrise™ Exchange. Broking system integration assures data integrity from the initial point of entry, and eliminates the need for re-keying at any point throughout the transaction.
Accurate: The immediate nature of Online Quoting guarantees the right price and features at that time. Online Quoting helps avoid price quotation errors and the inconvenience of re-clarifying details at a later stage. Quotes are saved and can be accessed for up to 18 months. After 30 days a quote becomes expired and must be edited and recalculated before it can be converted to Sunrise™ Exchange.
Standards: We use industry-accepted sources, such as Glass’s Guide and Red Book for motor, to rate new, used and commercial vehicles so that you get the most accurate and up-to-date information. We use similarly stringent standards for home and contents policies.
